When parents enrol their child at Baldwin Academy, they place their trust in us for their child’s growth and future. Along with quality education, we focus on nurturing values that help students become responsible and respectful individuals.
Discipline is an important part of this process. At Baldwin Academy, teachers lead as an epitome of guidance and principles. The School Advisory Board places great importance on maintaining discipline in the school. Students and parents are encouraged to refer to the school diary for the code of conduct and expected behaviour.
To address cases of indiscipline, the following corrective measures are in place.
Yellow Card
A Yellow Card may be issued to students from Class 4 onwards if they are involved in any of the following:
- Bunking school, classes, assembly, SUPW, library, or PE
- Cheating in tests or examinations
- Carrying mobile phones or electronic gadgets (these will be confiscated)
- Bursting crackers in or around school premises
- Coming to school in a self-driven vehicle (car, scooter, or bike)
- Disrupting classroom activities due to indiscipline
- Group indiscipline or hooliganism
- Using abusive or inappropriate language
- Damaging school property (fine may be imposed)
- Habitual late arrival to school or classes
- Repeatedly coming in improper uniform or without diary, badge, or ID card
- Not getting teacher remarks in the diary signed by parents/guardians
** Three Yellow Cards will result in one Red Card.
Red Card
A Red Card may be issued to students from Class 4 onwards for serious misconduct, such as:
- Smoking, drinking, chewing tobacco, or consuming prohibited substances
- Ragging, bullying, or harassment
- Physical violence
- Involvement in a police case (may lead to immediate rustication after review)
- *Three Yellow Cards convert into one Red Card, which may lead to suspension.
- *A second Red Card may lead to rustication from the school, subject to management review.
